The House

One house.
Three ateliers.

Mike Snell Entertainment is a production house in Richmond, Melbourne. Entertainment, production and The Studio sit under one roof and answer to one Creative Director, so every part of the night belongs to the same idea.

Mike Snell, Founder and Creative Director, in a navy tuxedo

Founder & Creative Director

Mike Snell

Mike began alongside Hugh Jackman in the arena spectacular The Boy From Oz, then spent two decades in musical theatre, working with Baz Luhrmann, Kylie Minogue, Cameron Mackintosh and Disney, and for TEN, Channel Nine, ABC and Foxtel.

Today he is the mind behind every production of the House. He shapes the concept, casts the artists and directs the show from the first idea to the final bow, from SANFL’s first Grand Final dance spectacular at Adelaide Oval to ELEVATE for Pro Light & Sound and Epworth Goes Pop at Crown Palladium.

Twenty-five years on the stage taught him what an audience feels in the room. Every production now carries one line: created and directed by Mike Snell.

On stage

The Boy From Oz · Wicked · Hairspray · Legally Blonde · Aladdin · Strictly Ballroom · We Will Rock You · Jesus Christ Superstar · Miss Saigon

The team

The people who make it effortless.

One producer stays with you from the first call to bump-out, with the whole house behind them.

Rémi Whyte, Brand and Experience Producer

Brand & Experience Producer

Rémi Whyte

Rémi brings a fashion-forward lens to every production. Working hand in hand with Mike, he shapes the visual language of each show, from bespoke costume and couture-inspired concepts to styling, spatial design and the smallest finishing detail. For Rémi, luxury is knowing exactly what belongs.

Nadia Tornese, Creative Media Producer

Creative Media Producer

Nadia Tornese

Nadia is the creative force behind the visual media of every production: cinematic openings, LED environments, performance visuals and screen moments, designed alongside the music, choreography, lighting and costume so the media becomes part of the performance.

Entertainment Coordinator

Simone Nguyen

Simone looks after every enquiry and every booking, from the first call and the availability check to the run sheet and the night itself, so nothing is lost between the brief and the bow.

How a production runs

Concept to curtain, in four steps.

  1. 01

    The brief

A 30-minute creative call with Mike: the occasion, your guests, your brand and the moment the night must land.

  2. 02

    The concept

A written proposal with the idea, the show and the artists, quoted to your brief, with one named producer from here to bump-out.

  3. 03

    The build

Casting, choreography, music, wardrobe and screen content, made and rehearsed at MSE HQ before anything reaches your venue.

  4. 04

    The night

Bump-in, show calling and a producer on the floor, then a written debrief and, where it suits, the highlight film.
