Penfolds Marquee
Created and directed by Mike Snell
One pattern, a whole world: a marquee built from the ground up from one simple ichimatsu pattern.
I
The brief
Penfolds wanted its Birdcage marquee to feel like one world from the entrance to the last glass.
II
The idea
Everything grew from a single ichimatsu pattern: couture, a cube stage for live strings and a mirrored room.
III
The night
Hosts, live strings and the House’s artists carried the pattern through the day, from arrival to the final toast.
